Wickliffe Public Library Named "Organization of the Year"!

Wickliffe Public Library was named "Organization of the Year" by the Western Lake County Chamber of Commerce. On March 22nd Jeanne Shimmelman, Childrens Services Manager, and Diane Greenbaum, Adult Services Manager, formally accepted the award at the annual luncheon.

Please Welcome Our New Director,
Cheryl Kuonen!
After an exhaustive process, the Wickliffe Public Library Board of Trustees is happy to announce our search has ended! Cheryl Kuonen will be joining the Library on Monday, April 2nd as the Director the Wickliffe Public Library.
Cheryl wrote up a nice bio so that we can all get to know her better:
I've grown up in libraries. As a child I attended storytimes at Mentor Library and in high school I worked as a shelver at Mentor Library. After graduating from college with a degree in Art History and minors in Business Management and Studio Art, I realized I really enjoyed libraries and went on to earn my Master's degree in Library Science from Kent State University.
Over the years, I've worked at libraries throughout Northeast Ohio including Geauga County Public Library, Shaker Heights, and Cuyahoga County Public Library. For the last 8 years I've enjoyed working at Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library first as Assistant Manager of the Eastlake Library, then Branch Manager of the Willowick Library, and finally as Branch Services Manager.
In my spare time I enjoy reading (what Librarian doesn't) and traveling. My husband and I are fans of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, and we have visited or stayed overnight in over 30 of his homes and buildings. At home, we enjoy spending time with our two very active rescue cats.
I currently volunteer at the Cleveland Museum of Art and I am an active board member of the Ohio General Federation of Women's Clubs. Because of my involvement in the Western Lake County Area Chamber of Commerce (covering Wickliffe, Willowick, & Eastlake) I am familiar with many of the local businesses in Wickliffe. I also have family living in Wickliffe.
I'm very excited to become part of the Wickliffe Public Library and the Wickliffe community.
Please join the Board and Staff of the Wickliffe Public Library in welcoming our new Director!
Blood Pressure Checks
No Longer at the Library
Please go to the Wickliffe Fire Station for future blood pressure checks. It is located at 29885 Euclid Avenue or call 440-943-7140. It will still be free with more hours and accessibility.
New Databases!
The Wickliffe Public Library is pleased to announce two new data bases for patrons. They are Gale's Legal Forms which provides access to attorney forms. These officially-approved, professionally-written documents are actually used in legal practices.
The other data base is Price It! Antiques and Collectibles. This data base helps you ascertain an item's current realistic market value by aggregating data from Worthpoint's own Worthopedia database, as well as established and reliable sources like eBay, TIAS.com, and auction houses. Now you will have the latest information on the collectibles you seek, without costly appraisals.Upcoming Adult Progams
